THE BEST PLACES IN DOCTOR WHO #6: When it comes to volcanic eruptions, Mount Vesuvius pretty much takes the cake. Come on, a city is rocked by a giant disaster that leaves an entire population perfectly preserved? Pompeii is practically begging for a visit from the Doctor. Not only is it kind of awesome to see the fiery explosions of doom firsthand, but this location is the perfect setting for the type of ridiculously painful moral dilemma that Doctor Who loves to explore. To save the Pompeiians (Pompeiites?) from the volcano or to let them die? That is the question!
